WE ARE ONLY OPEN ON APRIL 2ND, AS EASTER SUNDAY IS APRIL 9TH WE WILL NOT BE OPEN THAT AFTERNOON.

We will have all our handy repairers ready and waiting to help you with:

Sewing /textile repairs, jewellery/ceramics, shoes, leather goods, umbrellas, gadgets and electrical items, tools and sharpening.

We expect to have two expert sewing repairers available to help you with all those annoying rips and holes in your clothes!

You may also want to check out your shoes and see if they need a quick fix.

Our jewellery ceramics repairers will only be available on December 11th.

Not only can we help you sharpen up your kitchen knives but our clever volunteers can help you to sharpen up secateurs and clippers. Lots of bookings available for Sunday August 14th! Don’t delay!

August 7th is a great time to get your ceramics or jewellery repaired as we will have our two special repairers on duty ready to help you out. This ceramic tile was fixed last month.

We often have enquiries about fixing zips. Depending on the issue you may need to book with our Sewing repairers or our Shoe repairers. Sometimes if it is the slider that is the issue a little tweak with a long nose pliers may fix the problem.

If there are broken teeth then the zip needs to be unpicked and a new zip inserted. As this is a time consuming process we suggest you do that at home, buy a new zip and bring it in to be stitched into place.

If in doubt please email us about the zip problem and send a photo and then we can direct you to the right repair station to make a booking.

Got a cracked teacup? Some precious items have accidents and even though you may not be able to use them again they may have a special place in your life. This lovely bone china teacup was part of a set belonging to my grandmother. Our wonderful ceramicist put the pieces back together and now it looks good as new!

We are busy with many repairs at each cafe, so book early in order that you are not disappointed. Just a reminder if you are waitlisted it doesn’t mean we can fit you in but we will try to give you a booking if someone else cancels.

We are very happy to be able to once again provide our repair service from March 13th 2022. Just a few Covid safe measures in place – mask wearing and social distancing are essential in line with the Lane Cove Council requirements for a Covid safe plan.

Sometimes our volunteers may not be available so please bear with us as we aim to get back to full capacity in the coming months.
